1911Addicts -The Premiere 1911 Forum For Enthusiasts
This may be another of those like the best 1911 thread, but am wondering everyone's opinion as to the best leather holster for the 1911. I have an Ed Brown Special Forces Carry coming and wanted to get a nice holster, magazine carrier, and belt for it, and can't decide what to get. I've read about Milt Sparks, El Paso Saddlery, Del Fatti, and some others, the names of which I can't remember right now. For a real nice rig, maybe (doesn't have to though) with some exotic skin on it, who would you suggest?
I think the Dan Wesson Specialist is the most for your money 1911.
What do you guys/gals think?
Another thread got me thinking about this....what was your first 1911, and do you still have it? Mine was a Springfield LWCO, and I don't still have it. It was followed shortly by a Springfield TRP (that I sold but recently got back), but there has been no looking back since!
I'm still pretty new to the 1911 world. My Valor hasn't even broke a thousand rounds yet. So I still have a few questions about 'em.
On nearly every custom ordered gun, and a lot of the high price tag guns people have their barrel and bushing cut to be flush with one another, and often have the barrel reverse crowned. I understand the appeal, It's looks pretty nice when you see some Wilsons, Wessons, Nighthawks, Springfields, etc with that reverse cut barrel. It really shows the time and effort put into the gun.
I thought this would be a great post for everyone. It offers everyone the ability to brag on their favorite production non / custom line 1911. Offering all members the opportunity to give their vote. In addition to the manufacturer and model, I would also ask you state the reasoning behind your statement! It can be any sub $2,000.00 1911 if it's not on the list place it in the thread and I will add it to the list. Please state if you are suggesting the pistol be added to the list and / or voting on it as well.
