Just picked up a GI Noname. The gun has the best trigger and reset I’ve owned except for a highly modified SA. I’ve owned several Ed Browns and a Dan Wesson for comparison. Not owned a Baer.
So I took out my recent acquisition. Fired 250 rounds with no FTF. Very accurate limited by my abilities. Smooth trigger and short reset. Only thing I’m considering are different grips: VZ with super scoops allow easier access to mag release. Also fiber optic front site.
SA Loaded in 9mm is highly modified: 2 lb crisp trigger, an insanely short reset, AFTEC extractor, wide ambi safety, Wilson round butt mainspring housing and magwell, fiber optic front sight, etc.
I fitted a Wilson Combat 1 piece mainspring round butt magwell. It took some filing and finish sanding of the frame. I also blended the VZ grips for a very smooth and integrated (magwell, frame and grips). This is a full sized 1911 but I’m considering getting a commander and doing the same.
I have a 97BD also and sent it to Cajun Gun Works for the e-conversion. Also did the single action only. It is the most accurate and tuned 45 I’ve owned. I’ve owned a DW valor and several EBs so not a huge sample. The CZ is much easier to shot and felt recoil is similar to a 9mm probably...

No Name is stock.
It won’t be a safe queen. It’s going to a couple of Gunsite classes this year. In a year it will have some good holster wear, 5-7k rounds fired and a couple scratch’s from rolling around in Arizona sand and rocks.
Never could understand why someone pays thousands of $$ on a gun and locks it...
