As many here know, I am consolidating my 1911 collection down to one gun per builder. I now have two Austin Behlert guns so I will be selling this one to the next lucky steward. This amazing “large roll mark” 1979 series 70 1911 is chambered in 45 ACP. This beautiful comp gun features Bomar rear sight, Behlert’s we’ll know welded up front strap with stippling, checkered arched MSH/magwell, Jim Hoag grip safety (coolest part of the build to me), and Pachmayr thumb guard. There is high edge wear on the end of the comp commensurate with age and use. You could not possibly find a more representative example of Austin Behlert’s work.
