Last year I decided I needed an indoor hobby that wasn't video games so I settled on taking Hilton Yam's 1911 duty tune DVD and applying all the steps from start to finish to a Springfield Mil-Spec. I did almost everything with 320 grit sandpaper and a #2 swiss file so it was a nice way to spend...
Hey folks, I'm thinking of getting my Springfield mil-spec slide machined for a front sight novak dovetail. It already has a 10-8 NM rear sight with a .140 u notch and I was wondering what everyone here preferred for a front sight to match with that. The 10-8 website states it's compatible with...
This is my Springfield Range Officer Elite Operator in .45 ACP. It’s been slightly reworked with a Wilson Combat reliability package and their bullet proof extractor. I also installed a Stan Chen SI Magwell and I'll throw in a picture at the end of the magwell. In just a little over a week, I...
Saw this on gunbroker. Says 10-8 1911 but does not have the Dawson light rail. Researching on Google makes me believe these pistols only came with the Dawson light rail.
Any info would be appreciated.

Gents,
I recently acquired a 10-8 Performance extended magazine catch from an Addict. I like trying out new parts from different manufacturers and 10-8 has been on my "check out" list for a while, and the pricing was too good to pass up. I received it about a month ago and just got it...
Don't know if anyone else likes these base pads... but I think they look awesome! Just sharing if anyone else wants some.
Also, do you think these would fit wilson combat 9mm mags...
Don't know how many of you follow social media, but Hilton Yam has recently announced that he has retired from his day job and will be going to work with 10-8 full time.
He has announced some upcoming colaborative videos with Panteao Productions.
Just a PSA for ya'll
I haven't been able to make it to the range as regularly as I would like, and dryfire practice just isn't enough by itself. I finally made it out today, and was having a lot of difficulty with shots landing low. I'm pretty sure I was my own worst enemy, as I was fighting an anticipation flinch...
Stumbled across one of these and am seriously considering picking it up as its local to me.
Anyone here have any experience with them?
I know they are “just” a Kimber with 10-8 parts but I do have a soft spot for Hilton’s work.
Pics of the actual gun offered to me.
Picked this up about a month ago. The only 2011 with the 10-8 stamp. Finally got out to shoot it today. I put 300 rounds through it and functioned perfect. It was super easy to shoot. I should have brought another few hundred rounds with me. The grip was pretty dirty when I got it and will get...
