I was interested in knowing how practical a commander in 10mm would be. Would the velocity reduction from barrel length make it worth it? Would it beat the pistol to pieces? And what would be the general consensuses to the potential difficulty's of the platform.

Gentlemen, I've looked with a curious eye at long slides for several years. I have a couple of Sig Mastershop X6's, but have never even shot a 1911 with a 6" slide. If I ever decide to add a 10mm to my collection, I'm thinking "real hard" about making it a long one. Thanks for opinions, advice.
