I’ve been thinking about getting one of those .380 1911s just for fun. The Battleship Texas Foundation is selling ones engraved with all kinds of Battleship Texas decorations as a fund raiser for refurbishing the ship. https://battleshiptexas.org/donate/ (Scroll about half way down.) I was...

Curious what people’s thoughts are around the scaled-down 1911s in .:80 that are available. By this I’m looking at the actual scaled down 1911’s, as opposed to stubby, sub-compact 1911-like designs. Are these pistols useful for defense? Are they reliable? Would you carry one? Or are they...

They currently have a selection of these for under $500, which seems like a great deal. I think I'm getting the two tone. I am in no way affiliated with CDNN, just a customer.

CDNN is having a major sale on these with prices at $450 (or so) and under depending on model. I like the two tone myself, I've been coveting one of these for a few years now, might have to pull the trigger. I also have two females (wife and 21 yo daughter) and an 11 yo boy to teach and think...
