Wondering if this has been discussed on here before or if anyone is familiar with it thanks.

I am seeing the price of any colt with reasonable condition is above $3k! For example of this: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/902304603 Any Colt experts here can educate what to look for if paying this price?

Due in part to the posts of @jdoc7 @Dwe but mostly due to his posts and interactions on this forum I have decided to get on Steve's build list @Integrity Arms . The issue I now find myself facing is the question of base gun for the build. I have a 71B polished blued series 70 reissue, a 72B...

About 5 months ago, I purchased this Colt Delta Gold Cup with thoughts that it would stay with me for the foreseeable future. Things change and I have decided to let it go to a new home, hopefully one of the Addicts. According to the Colt Registry, this is a 1989 model. Since purchasing, I...

Today I ordered this gun. It is all stainless and comes in the Colt pelican case, 2 mags, Otis cleaning kit. Do any of you addicts have one & can tell me anything about it? I have already the special edition model CSRG O1070RGZ and know the specs will differ. I was going to buy another custom...

Ok, so I did some searching, but only found "some info" in the classifieds, and it must be closed, cuz i cannot reply. anyway, i went to my LGS to buy some ammo, and i asked what's going on with the Colt 1911's, have they gotten any in yet. ( I had been going there frequently too with no luck)...

So I've been wanting to build a standard cheap GI style 1911 for awhile now. I've got an RIA frame and was going to order one of their slides as well, but then I saw this. Serial number puts it as a 1941 production. I got this for about $130 ($60 cheaper than the RIA slide), reason being that...

I have one of these. Super strong factory Colt piece. The seller is well known in having very collectible items on GB https://www.gunbroker.com/item/902116978

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/895329111 @WVsig had posted one of these a while back. Just came across this looking for something to buy.

Admittedly, my hunt for a Colt MKIV is young, and my experience with this particular pistol is zilch. It just happens to be the one made the year I was born and I want one. 1980. I am certain had I realized this “gotta have” a handful of years ago I would have paid a lot less than I likely...

The FFL I use for all of my transfers and is a friend recently picked up some guns on consignment from an estate. One of the guns has caught my attention, a 1994 Colt Government in bright stainless. The gun is pristine and the consigner is asking $2000. I am not up on Colt values but know many...

I'm looking at purchasing a good condition Colt XSE Combat Commander. The owner wants me to make an offer and will not say a price. What do you fellow addicts feel would be fair to offer? Thanks

I haven't been carrying much up until recently. Granted I live in a small town where a James-Younger situation is the most likely thing to happen, but I figured I would start carrying my Combat Commander again. I did like I usually do, holstered it, did a practice draw, and then reholstered...

At the beginning of the year, after a couple of detours, one of which involved a not so honest sale to me of a supposed great condition 1959 Colt GCNM (damn that Armslist), I was able to procure a pristine 1959 GCNM from a fellow Addict. I wanted to make it more special and personalized, so I...

So I was inspired by the wood grips tread, and put the grips off my '70s commander back on my main 1911. They're honestly my favorite pair of grips, because they split the difference between normal smooth wood and checkered wood/G-10 etc. That and they tie into the little bit of old school...

My latest acquisition arrived today. It is a Colt Special Combat Government Carry, O1970CY. I am very pleased with the fit and finish. I will clean and lube it later this evening, but the trigger is still a crisp 3.5 lb. Thank you CCS3, whoever you are.

Looking for some information on this holster. Can only make out three of the initials after BOYT. J. . J. Any idea of the year it was made? Not stamped on this like later ones. Thank you.

Looking for info and value for this decent looking slide with nice patina. Thank you

This looks to be a good deal, but not the biggest Colt expert. I know it says he won’t ship, but there are plenty of us here in Texas that could help with that. I am sure someone on here has a ‘68 birth year... 1968 Colt National Match 1911 .45ACP (near mint)

I didn't need to buy this gun. I probably shouldn't have bought this gun. But, you know how they call to you and now that I have it the friggin' thing has grown on me like an ugly puppy. And, every time I look at it, I find myself thinking "Dammit Karl!" because I couldn't resist this '78...
