I recently picked up my first set of VZ G10 grips (It looks like VZ is phasing out officer size grips and has almost all of them marked down to $35, so get on that if you've been waiting). My old half-checkered stocks didn't give me any traction in the area where my support hand grips the gun...

As any one here can attest, grip bushings can be frustrating or impossible to deal with if you don't have the right tools! Most grip bushings are set up to be removed with a slot screwdriver, just make sure to invest in a nice set of screwdrivers like what Brownells sells, BROWNELLS MAGNA-TIP...

I recently saw a pic of what appeared to be 1911 grip screws with the Ruger Eagle on the face, sort of like these Colt screws. Anybody have a direction to point me in?

Can anyone recommend a quality set of hex grip screws that match a duty treat finish? Nearly all of the non-stainless aftermarket grip screws that I encounter are polish blue. Hogue Extreme screws match well at first, but they seem to turn gray fairly quickly.
