I have a build set to come up in the next couple of months and have been trying to decide the route I want to take on the magwell. I have never been a fan of the Chen Gen 2 magwells until recently. I love magwells, but can't seem to conceal them well with my usual clothing with the exception of...
So I bought this new thinking I would install it on a WC 45 I had.... It was a comedy of errors that included this being the wrong part entirely for my frame. It never got fitted onto the gun and instead went back in the package..
So... My loss is your gain.. There is VERY MINOR , nearly...
Got this magwell it is cast, and I believe it is EGW. After installing there is a gap that I'm not crazy about. Expected some space and the picture highlights it but what is your personal experience? Gun is Delta Elite
Going through my extra grips that I'm not going to use I found these three sets of VZ grips. Two are magwell one is bobtail, they are all standard size, super scoop, and ambi cut. $45 shipped each pair.
Just the bobtail grips in the middle are left
I’d like to install a magwell on my Colt Combat Commander, but with all of options out there, I’d like to see if there are any that are favored above others. At some point, this gun will visit one of our esteemed ‘smith’s for front strap checkering, night sights, and a more durable finish. But...
So, the msh on this Kimber has always bugged me, with the dang hole in it. So I got a two piece msh with mag well from Nighthawk. Thought I ordered checkered, but ordered serrated, but still like it.
certainly not a ‘smith blended one, but I like it. Need new grips now.
I see some members here installing the Chen SI on their 1911's.
I've been thinking about getting one for my carry gun. It's a NH Commander 10mm.
Is this my best option? Is there something else I should consider?
What the title says, a Stan Chen SI Magwell. Unless it's a factory magwell I'm out of the magwell trade. Installed on 2 guns, not abused. $110.00 shipped USPS Priority mail.
Photos are handheld and I'm shaky these days so not the best.
Check, Money Order, PayPal, anything that spends...
Yes, I'm a degenerate, someone please help me :mute:
Ever since this was posted I thought about it and I was never real fan of Baer styling until I saw this beauty --- DLC is so slick.
So I reached out to the owner and he still had it tucked away so we made a deal.
I'll be shooting it tomorrow :)
I have somewhere between 20-30 large mag bases, I think most are Ed Brown, they are the large ones made for magwell use - at least that is the claim. No pix, but you can go to Ed Brown and see what they are. They're free and all the effort I will provide is boxing and shipping them. They are...
For sale is a Wilson Combat one-piece Bulletproof magwell, blued steel, checkered backstrap. I put this on an Alchemy Brimstone for a while until I sold the pistol and now don’t have any compacts in the safe for this to ride on. No scratches or wear at all on the part.
Asking for $95 shipped...
Dunno why, but of late I've been adding magwell MSH's to most of my non-vintage, non-bobtail 1911's. Even a couple of my commander size gun have gotten magwell upgrades.
Smith and Alexander, Stan Chen, Ed Brown, it doesn't matter. This has caused me an increasingly difficult problem.
What type of magwell do you run if any? How much do you feel it helps you reload?
I use a Dawson magwell and feel like it has a large impact on how many good reloads I have. Especially when I am not just standing still.
I do believe that you can get good enough to rarely need one or use it...
