    So there is a thread on 1911 books. But how about DVD's? Is there any quality DVD's out there that show you how to fit a thumb safety, fit a firing pin stop, fit/tune an extractor etc.??? It would be nice to find a DVD that covers it all. Thoughts?

    What 9mm lightweight semi-custom commander options are out there? Seems NH, Wilson and others aren't using aluminum frames; or am I not seeing them? How about with bobtail or possible officer frame? Or am I going to have to go full custom to upgrade from the DW Guardian?

    Curious to what you guys think about how many rounds an aluminum frame 9mm 1911 can survive. Standard loads with good maintenance and spring replacements. I can put 20k rounds on my Glocks in year. Can my DW Guardian survive? Anyone have high round counts on lightweight commander frames?
