Is this what people are referring to when they talk about a mis-timed Series 80 safety? This plunger has nicks around its entire circumference. If so, what's the best route forward for this gun? I'm thinking of having this "converted" to a Series 70 setup while it's being rebuilt.

I found a really nice used Colt Government Series 80 in a store yesterday, and am tempted to buy it. Only thing is, I think I’d rather have a Mark IV Series 70. If you have both, which do you prefer, and why?
