For those that have tried variable rate springs, why?
How have you noticed a difference from regular springs?
I am thinking about going to 20# spring in my LW Commander. I run a 22# in my Govt Model and it works just fine with regular hardball and my 200+p and 230+p.

For the safe queen 1911’s, is there any concern with the spring ultimately weakening? If so, what’s been your experience in terms of how long this generally takes? Any rules of thumb?

Looking to respring a SPR Commanche, anyone know what the standard ships with recoil spring weight is? And recoil spring plug, the parts list just has 2 listings for the plug and they are the exact same verbage/description. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I have a new Colt Combat Commander in 9mm, but I also suspect I'll wear out the springs before too long and I have absolutely no clue as to what spring setup I'll need for mainspring and recoil spring. Any thoughts from you guys? It's stupid fun to shoot.
