I have a Ruger SR1911 Target Model. I like everything about it a lot. My only complaint is the trigger could be better. It’s light enough; it just doesn’t have a crisp break.
I don’t want a trigger job. I’m wondering if an aftermarket trigger could give me that glass rod I’d like. If so, what...
I was just looking around at some of the smaller sized 1911’s like the CCO, Officers, and the micro sized versions in 9mm when I came upon the SR1911 page on the RUGER site. They do make a few 1911’s that look good and would prolly make a great carry piece. I checked out the Officers...
Looking to see if the SR1911 Commander would be a good bump in the night gun. I have a 3 year old so need something that can fit in a safe and my wife feels better about a gun with a safety. I keep a 1000 lumen torch in the safe too, so I don't really need a rail. Just something I know will go...

I’ve had my Ruger SR1911 Target Model for about a month now. I bought it to take the place of an older Colt Mark IV that’s in for repairs.
I have been very pleased with my gun, and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a good value in a 1911. Fit and finish were excellent right out...
I recently bought a used SR1911, was pretty reasonable at 499. Its the stainless full size version. But the pricetag made me buy it. Also I live in Prescott Valley and pass the Ruger plant twice a day on way to work, and have two relatives who work there.
If there is a modern cartridge that has a cult like following and yet heavily underrated it would be the 10MM. This Ruger SR1911 in 10MM after my first range trip reconfirms my membership to the cult.
While out on the range for the first time time with the Ruger SR1911 in 10MM. The Ruger was...
After posting the SR1911 10MM Unboxing video the emails started to come in asking about chamber support.
Being curious myself I decided to compare 4 10MM 1911's,
Colt Delta Elite
Para Elite Hunter
Kimber Camp Guard 10

I'm thinking of trading my XDs.45 and another Springfield for a NIB
Ruger SR1911 LW CMD in 9mm.
This would be a step up in quality, but also a step down in caliber.
I like both 9mm and .45 and think that .45 still has an edge in stopping
power, no matter what you do to a 9mm bullet.
But why not .38 Super? They missed the mark...
It finally arrived at my LGS today! So far I'm impressed with this gun. I'm use to the quality in my Baer's, Brown's, and Wilson's but for the price this one is pretty impressive...
First Ruger 1911 I've owned. Put 112 230gr FMJ's through it today and had two rounds early that didn't fully feed...
