Hello, I was cleaning my SW1911TA today that I installed a GI guide rod from Wilson Combat last year and I noticed some unusual localized wear marks on the edges of the section that makes contact with the frame. I wanted to see if this type of wear is characteristic of GI rods or not.

So I did some digging and can't seem to find a picture thread for S&W 1911s so figured now would be as good of time as any to start one. I'll start off with my SW1911TA with some mild changes.
