Hello everyone. I’ve been shooting IDP and steel for about 15 years. USPSA is coming to my area in January. What gear would I need to shoot the matches or is it all the same stuff. Thanks!

I'm curious as to how many of you hope to shoot your regular run of pistol matches this summer, what your affiliated clubs hope to host and if you know, will round counts go down, stages be limited, etc., due to shortages?

I just finished another USPSA Match. This was a monthly (level 1) club match at the New Holland Rifle & Pistol Club. The stages at this club are usually pretty interesting, and the skill level of the shooters tends to be very good, including a handful of master class shooters. It's a good place...

I went out and bought six Blade Tech single mag carriers for playing in USPSA Single Stack. I can only fit five on my belt, and that requires me to skip two belt loops. (I could get a sixth mag on my belt if I went forward of the hip bone, which is not legal.) Unfortunately, I have a small...

I am selling - once more practically giving away - another Wilson of mine. This has been strictly a range gun, no daily carry, and I am making room in the safe. It is an Elite Professional in 9mm and has an extra fitted comp barrel for more range fun!. If you have ever shot one in 9mm the recoil...

I just completed my first USPSA match. I competed in Single Stack Division (major) using my Wilson Combat X Tac, and regular carry belt and OWB holster and mag carriers that I use for IDPA. (I added an extra OWB dual mag carrier to give me four 8rd mags on the belt.) As you'll see in the video...

I just signed up for my first USPSA match. I'm going to run in Single Stack division. I need ideas on how to setup my belt. So, here is your chance to help me out by showing off your Single Stack rig. Photos are more than welcome (obviously), but please also give details on what is being shown...

Today I completed my first proper competition rig. It's a complete Safariland ELS rig, and it's pretty dang nice. I like that I can go from Single Stack to another division without even taking the belt off. Prior to this, I had used a Bladetech belt and holster with the magazine holders that...

Couple of background stats before the main question: I'm signed up for my first USPSA shoot at an indoor range in November. I'm on the wrong side of 40, and not interested in being at the top of the stack, but I do want to get into shooting and moving again, though at an indoor range with heat...
  10. Competition 1911's
I started shooting ipsc a couple years ago and due to my state sold off my limited 2011, I have decided to go SS and I ordered a Milt Sparks 1at rig, belt, mag pouches. I have a wilson combat gun that I could use but I also have a smith and wesson doug koenig gun that I got about over 10 years...

I had a pretty good (for me) match on Saturday shooting Single Stack with the Baer. It was very hot here in TX, but a lot of fun still. 150 rounds for the Baer, making the total 31,800 rounds. I placed 1st of 3 in Single Stack, and 23rd of 50 overall.
  12. Competition 1911's
Mixed performance for me this match. I had a few good stages, and some bad ones. My worst was a relatively easy stage that I went full retard on and forgot a target (Stage 2). Oh well, I have some things to work on improving in the coming matches! As always, it was a lot of fun. Just over 150...
  13. Competition 1911's
Shot USPSA on Saturday and had a pretty bad match. Started on stage 6, then to 1-5. Didn't get my head on straight until stage 3. Stage 6 I had a crap plan, plus I forgot a target. Stage 1 I forgot the string of fire literally right after rehearsing it (forgot to reload and shoot again 1...

I'll be shooting USPSA Single Stack. Rig will be my new Ed Brown in a Garrett Silent Thunder holster with Wilson ETM's riding in DAA single stack pouches. Ammo will be my reloads, Penn 200gr LSWC bullets over 4.9gr of Titegroup in range pickup brass. The squad with openings was the local...
  16. Competition 1911's
In years past I've gotten pretty heavily involved in Steel Challenge, USPSA and local 3-gun matches, but it has been about 4 years or so. I used to shoot something about every weekend, and double up when my local club would have back-to-back USPSA and 3-gun matches Saturday and Sunday. She Who...
