Well. I’ve been busting my tail trying to get this car done at work. Specialist in Saab’s, Volvo’s and most European cars. Work on anything with a motor.

Good customer wanted to change his tired 312 out of his car and I’ve been building a 390 for him. He doesn’t trust anyone to work on his cars but us.

    Nothing fits directly.

Cool project but aren't you going to have a hard time shoehorning that FE in there? I have a '66 Tbird and the 390 barely fits between the shock towers.

It’ll go. Back in the day (60’s) a buddy of mine had a blueprinted 406 in a 55 Bird.

Had to build a custom frame brace that the motor mounts secure too. It’s a bitch. I regret taken it on at times when I get frustrated. But all the hard work is paying off.

Next will be brakes. As it’s a single stage master with 4 drums.

Very cool! Is the old ‘Y’ block just tired or are you wanting to up the game a little? Looks like a pretty clean ol’ Bird!

Guy says it doesn’t go up hills good and won’t do a burn out. Guys about 68 years old. It’s tired. This should be 400hp no problem.

Old T-Birds & old Corvettes always road like a wagon, but sure hard to beat the cool factor! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to some additional progress pics!
