What's your intended purpose and budget?
Nelson .22 conversion and a Fusion receiver. The top rib is interchangeable with a rib with nice adjustable sights!

Just a plinker
If you get the Nelson/Fusion conversion you will get bored of "plinkin" real fast and be lookin' for a "Bulls-eye" league.

Any pros and cons?
Going negative.
Only the exterior is 1911,
2. the guts of the gun are weird.
3.The finish is paper thin.
4..Two matches from a Kydex holster and the finish is fugly.
5.. Don't drop the mags into your ultrasonic for a quick clean.
Last if I can't talk you out of one. Buy mine. Runs perfectly, six mags and all original box papers etc.

Several guys i shoot with in Steel Challenge use the Tact Sol conversions and they seem to work for them. I've been thinking of picking on up.

Even if I were just buying for Plinking, I would buy a Marvel unit 1 or I would look to find an old Kart.

Obviously, I think the Chambers conversions were the best ever made, but it’s very unlikely you will never find one.

Skip the sig, gsg, ciener, etc... total garbage man.

The Walther Colts I've seen are rattle can paint over aluminum, that's what they look like, I quickly passed on those. Got a Kadet slide and it now resides on a CZ 75B frame. Then a couple of weeks ago I bought a S&W Model 41 with the 7" barrel. I really need to take that one out and burn up some CCI standard velocity boolits
