They’re located in the boonies of Idaho,
Not exactly the boonies.

John is located in Cour De Lane Idaho.
Coeur d'Alene. It took me a while to remember how to spell it.

Sorry OP I have nothing useful to add as I haven't dealt with John.

I had a very smooth transaction with John at CJ Heaven/Proload. When I found out that Les had accidentally installed the wrong front sight on my gun (P II front instead of CC front), I shipped it back to Les Baer, and they quickly fixed the issue. John and I had a lengthy phone conversation, but not so much about the mistaken sight. He's a veteran with a great wealth of experience, and I enjoyed our talk greatly.

I would do business again with CJ Heaven in a heartbeat.

Haven’t bought a gun from them, but have talked to them and they were very helpful and knowledgeable . They’re located in the boonies of Idaho, but I think you can stop in if you call ahead.
Jeff
Idaho is correct

Deal in confidence with Crazy John!

I’ve bought four or five Baer and three GI guns from John, would certainly purchase from him again. Never a problem, fast shipping and always happy.

Other than him being long winded, the one pistol I bought from him was a smooth transaction with a great price.
The pistol, not so much, but that isn't his problem, that was Uncle Les' monkey's not finishing the pistol.

Hammond is another good guy, but his baer prices are slightly higher than CJ's, plus being in Va, I would have to pay the 5.3% tax.

I purchased two special order Baers from John, both delivered as ordered sooner then promised ,it was a pleasure doing business with him and would not hesitate to do so again .
If GI required him to sell within there pricing dictates ,is that not price fixing ? I guess John decided to provide the best prices to his customers and did away with them .
Forcing its dealers to maintain high prices does not equate to the quality of GI .
I choose not to do business with a company that does not look after the best interest of the end user and controls price.would not purchase a guncrapers industry product.

You could be right Bender , I sometimes shoot my mouth off not fully informed :roflmaro:
I can only relate to how it appears to me, John has always treated me well .
My conclusions are based on my experience only .
Thanks Greg

I’m just busting you’re balls.....I spit tea across the shop when I read your post. I’ve dealt directly with GI, noting but positives for me. I know the story behind that thread, I know what drove it and I know what the outcome was. You are certainly missing details.

I would tend to believe that most have had great dealings with most companies. With that being said, I know there are people that have had issues, just look above, there are a few.

I could tell ya of my experience, but I’m not going to stoop to that level. I’ve thought of it, but what good would that do.

I think I’m beginning to see the light ,that’s different.
Hummmm , I may owe someone an apology,I hate when that happens :bang:

Tac,

That's OK, no need to apologize. With a made up word like "Guncrapers", it's hard to realize that there should be 2 "p"s.

:D
