So after 15 weeks this little beauty arrived. Commander 55BN horsehide cordovan with black shark. Now I did get a SS2 a couple weeks ago but that was for my dad. This holster conceals almost as well as my IWB from TT. I can see more of their holsters in my future. Now it’s time to break it in.

Can’t go wrong with Milt Sparks. I’m wearing the Summer Special II right now.

I like the way the shark is an accent on one side and goes all the way down the belt loop. Very nice.

If you had to choose TT or Milt Sparks, for overall build quality, which would you choose?

No doubt. When I purchased my IWB it was between Sparks and TT. It was right after the wildfire that destroyed TT’s home and shop, so I wanted to throw some business their way. No regrets on my end as it’s a fantastic holster that I wear 12 hours a day.

I'll take it! That's some fine looking leather.

    Congrats - the 55BN is a winner!

I’m wearing a Summer Special, myself, as I type.

Right now I’d say you can’t go wrong with either. The boning between the two is indistinguishable and the leather is comparable thickness. The only difference I see is that TT is double stitched. Both makers have stellar reputations so I’d say it’s a toss up. Maybe I’ll revisit this topic after 6 years of use for the new holster. Still not really fair though as the TT will still get used more often as IL does not have open carry.

Always have a Milt Sparks on. Today it is a Commander length 55 BN black with shark trim and a CQB Commander.

the coloring on yours looks great.

They've come a long way in their detailing dept compared to this like new vintage Sparks I picked up recently.

That’s why my holster has the Phoenix on it. To signify their rising from the ashes.

Beautiful holster. That's exactly the leather combo I get on everything I personally order from MS.

It probably won't be your last. I'm waiting on a VM-2 now.
