The price doesn't seem that out of line, if I was in the market for one or two of them in this market, I would probably pay those amounts, but not much more. My LGS had the re-pop series 70 for $999 + tax last time I checked in there. It was pre owned, but never shot.

I purchased a 1911 Colt Class 70 series for $645.00 last December, new in the box.

Rick , before the onset of this plague, I would do my rounds and check out all the gun shops in the area from Bill's in Prescott to the ones off 69 in P.V.. The Colt for $999+tax was the one off 69 in P.V.
