Super clean 629-5 DX, 6.5" barrel, stainless 44 magnum. For those unacquainted, the DX series guns were the pinnacle of Smith Production, guns tested and guarnteed to shoot 1.5" at 50 yards! This gun has its original box and a spare set of walnut grips, the original Hogues are also included. I don't have the test target or extra front sights.

The gun looks to have seen very very little use!

Someone should grab this one.
It's sort of an orphan in that it's the first generation to have a frame mounted firing pin and one generation before the lock became standard. the 629-5 was 1997 to 2000.
It's the second generation to come with the factory drilled and tapped holes in the top strap for easy scope or red dot mounting.
That might make a potential future unicorn.
They also didn't make a large number of Classic's that were DX's.
