I’ll tell you that the red dirt triggers are amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate. Just installed 2 and I’m impressed.

what makes red dirt triggers so amazing?
The ease of adjustment is light years ahead of traditional winged triggers. Took less than 2 minutes to dial each one in.
the website says it's recommended for a gunsmith to install the part though. is this something i could do myself if i've never done it before?

If you have the time and some small files, then yes, better to take off a little at the time from trigger than frame, unless your trigger bar channel is trash like some cheaper brands but ACW should be fine, just remember to polish the file marks and buff it out for a smooth finish. If you're worried about it, a competent smith should be able to do it for maybe half an hour or hour worth of pay. I did a couple of mine and took about 1 hour the first go around, calipers would speed things up. Just take it easy and slow if you're doing it. Now days I can do it in about 20 mins.
