The thread protector comp seems to help with second shot recovery. But no timer was involved. Just by "feel". And I hate to say it, but I actually enjoy the Triarc over the NYX. Probably due to barrel length. I think it's time to try a Staccato XL?
I was willing to deal with the slippy grip because it's compensated. I got this more to shoot on occasion and for an heirloom piece to pass down to my son. By far my favorite finish.
