Please try to keep in mind, pictures were taken after shooting. That may be blood or skin in the checkering.

Very nice. I was thinking to do the same thing for my Mil-Spec. Is it better to send it to SA Custom Shop, or other shop will charge it cheaper & will be the same thing? (I want 25 LPI or 30 LPI, machine or hand either way)

I send my frames to the same shop Springfield Custom uses. As you can see, I'm in Geneseo too. Although Springfield has great customer service, I provide much more one on one attention to detail than they ever could. The frame pictured is strictly a hand checkered job from scratch. I assure you, I have known the guy that does these frames for over 20 years and he is as good as it gets. A machine checkered frame from me makes you wonder why anyone would want to hand checker anything.

Thank you for the accolades. It is merely time pushin' a file and patience.

    How much do you charge?

How much I charge depends on how many LPI, and what method is used.

    Machine Checkering-20lpi-$145 30lpi-$165
    Hand Checkering-20lpi-$265 30lpi-$275

The picture is hand checkered, but I assure you, my machine checkering looks the same...maybe even better.
