Same result - you decide, check this video:
I'll pick the 1911. I like them more. Though I do want an M&P45.
Interesting how erratically the Brown is throwing that brass.
They are all nice. I'll take one of each thank you....:biggrin1:
I'm all for saving $2500.00 for the same thing with higher capacity - just sayin'
Hickock45's vids are great...informative, unbiased, entertaining. One of my fave youtube "gun" channels.
Don't much care for the M&P series.
My Kobra was only $2000, but it is a very nicely built 1911.
My Glock 21SF has been excellent, and IMO nobody builds a better Glock (though nearly everyone has tried).
Shot an M&P .45 at the range last Saturday. Since I wasn't using barn doors as targets I couldn't hit anything. Going to the range tonight with the 1911. Should be better. My motto is "It's me, not the gun."
Sorry Man - but you really must be a terrible shot.
THAT is too funny .... I know where you are coming from.... :rofl2::rofl2:
I have to disagree . I rented a 9mm M&P . Felt great in my hand. Shot it like **** !
The man makes a good point. Handgun accuracy seems a bit over rated, especially to us "average" shooters that don't practice constantly. Better to have a pistol that one shoots well, whether or not it is extremely "accurate."
We trudge on.
Am I the only one in this thread that can shoot -lol... Better stick to those $5000 1911's there so tuned a blind man can hit with em' so I guess thats what your paying for - Leave the Poly pistols that take skill to shoot - to the Shooter's- lol...
Oh no, no, no I just figured it out- poly pistols have external extractors.
Standing by for FLAMES
Nope, I rock out with my Glock out ! Also no problem with the FNH I rented. The M&P was all over the place. My favorite carry piece is my G-19 followed by my PCR. No fancy 1911 carried here.
Poly pistols are for shooters whom lack the knowledge to properly care for a 1911.
I carry a 1911 because I like the platform and I personally tend to shoot them a little better than the polymers. That isn't to say that one is more accurate than the other, but in my hands a 1911 has the edge, mostly because of the longer sight radius, better trigger, and higher weight.
To take a page out of your book... let's keep it Civil boys
Sight radius on a full size M&P is right up there actually it's 6.8
I'll never get the pure accuracy talk since I've had the same thoughts as Hickok (and many others) that there is real world use and everything else. The only accuracy that matters to me is what I can do offhand AND with speed involved. I own a pistol with a 1" group at X distance and a basic Glock 9mm...it doesn't matter, both get the job done.
Well said - my thoughts exactly - have an M&P full size incoming as well as a G21 Gen4 I will compare the two and make my own evaluation and decision, people have their own set of criteria, I have mine, but I'm pretty sure I can hit a barn door at a 100 yards with any one of them.
