So 2 things, first this seems like a great deal. Hopefully if any of you have been looking for a 38 super colt it helps. The non blem is about $90 more. I got the blem because I know me and I will be fitting and EGW grip safety and thumb safety at a minimum and probably doing a high polish and reblue. That being said, is this a bad idea? Do you think there’s a chance this model could ever have collector value? It’s a series 80 so I’m thinking no, but I would hate to permanently modify it and find out that it ends up being valuable. Just looking for some opinions.

they do sometimes. I own one I found at a Lexington KY shop 2015 or so - bought it on sight as another person had to "think" on it. $1,016 out the door that day. i've not seen another in the wild since. And, truthfully darn few steel frames.
