[Spur1911]

I have seen three possible options for the "mini" 1911 pistol in 380

- Browning
- Rock Island Armory
- Llama (Micromax)

Personal experience with any of them and/or opinions on the best way to go would be appreciated. They look like fun little shooters.

I believe the Browning has a plastic frame - not sure I like that feature.

curious why you are exploring this route and not going with tried and true P938, Kimber Micro 9 or even a G43 ?

Stay Away from the Llama and I would 2nd the Sig 238 if you must have a 380.

Or look for a Colt Mustang on the used market.

I have the p238. I was interested in a steel frame and longer barrel with the two Phillipine options. The Llama in now made there just like the RIA.

Not interested in a small glock . An old school colt 380 might pique my interest . My local gun store has one.

I'd look at a Beretta 84fs or an older Browning BDA-380. High capacity mags.

These are wonderful pistols that are metal for low recoil on the .380. They have a hidden feature of a barrel and magazine swap for .32acp operations

Mrs. Collector has a Kimber Sapphire micro .380 with laser grips.. she thinks its fun! Too small for me. I did have a Kimber micro 9 two tone in the truck console for a while.. I gave it to the youngest for Christmas.

Not on your list but here goes 380 sig 238, colt mustang or a Glock 42. A we bit larger but definatley quality As previously mentioned Beretta 84s and add I’ll add the 85.

I mentioned the Glock as it was a fun gun to shoot, only reason it was sold as I consolidated and
Downsized.

The Springfield 911 .380 has worked well for me. More reliable than both the G42 and Kimber micro in my experience (sample size of 2 G42 and 1 each of the kimber and Springfield). The sights from the factory are also quite good on the 911.
