Yep, those dragoon trigger gaurd will knock hide off your knuckle with heavy loads, and the 7.5" is just too cumbersome for the woods. I never understood why 7.5 was that factory "standard".Perfect. I too prefer a 5.5” barrel and am not a fan of the dragoon style trigger guard. Very nicely done.
I have a Hamilton Bowen Super Blackhawk that has been cut to 4".
