Sold my Kimber .45 a while ago as I didn’t really like how it shot. Debating weather to purchase another .45 or 10mm. I do like the 10mm a lot. Appreciate your thoughts and / or suggestions.

Can I ask what you didn’t like about the kimber 45? That might offer some guidance to what others might recommend. Me personally I would go with another 45 simply for ammo availability. Although I did have and did enjoy a full size Wilson in 10mm but a friend wanted it more than I did.
Also style of firearm? Price range your working with, etc!

As a dedicated 10mm-aholic I say 10mm of course! You looking for carry, hunting, competition, range gun or just all around gun?

Hi. My name is Jeff . The Kimber just didn’t feel “right” in my hand. No pun intended here but I can’t put a finger on it. I am considering a Rock Island Armory or a Springfield.

It really depends on what you want to do.

As @Babboonbobo said, 45 ACP ammo and magazines are way easier to come by. So, if you don't have a strong reason to choose 10mm or refute 45 ACP, I would go with 45 ACP.

Hunting and defense against wild animals is something that 10mm really excels at. 10mm shoots flatter and has a little better range than 45 ACP. However, for defense against people, 45 ACP is going to make a bigger hole.

I have 3 10mm's. Ammo has been on par or less than 45. At least the last time I was stocking up on 10 and 45. Seriously, 10 was cheeper that 45.

    I like a 45 myself but a 10mm? I like it even better. A 10mm longslide? It's heaven...

If you are going CC then that is usually a shorter barrel, lighter weight pistol. Its OK to shoot warm/semi hot ammo for a few mags from these types of carry guns but it starts to work on the hand and joints for extended shooting sessions. So it won't be an ideal range gun for extended sessions, well at least for me, after about 100 rounds I'm ready for the 9. I have a couple commanders and about 8 govt sized 10mm, the govt size is definitely more comfortable to shoot.

Try a bobtail for hand contour and comfort.

I have them in both .45 ACP and 10mm.

For carry a bobtail commander would be perfect. Maybe a Fusion Freedom Series, DW Cbob if you can find one or one of the custom makers
