Excellent! I’ll be following your posts. As I don’t have a mill, I’m gonna go ahead with the plan I mentioned above and do it “the old fashioned way” and dream of the day I can figure out how to get a mini mill without upsetting my marital bliss....

I pulled the trigger on this kit Sunday. Not a shiny stainless kit, but should be great for a learning project. Included all gun parts, a magazine and the two jigs for decking and rail cutting. The jigs alone retail for a bit over $300, so I figure I can’t go wrong with all the parts for a basic shooter at about $325. Anxiously awaiting arrival
And then I want to work on the frame
For the milling jig new Measure from you the hole for the slide stop to the top of the deck on your goal is to be between .348 and .343
I found the calipers you had to wiggle them back-and-forth up-and-down left and right finding the smallest number to make sure you got your measurement correct it took some finesse to get a correct reading
Well I got a few more minutes to work on it tonight and first up getting the jig in the frame in the vase. No problem there
