Folks: here we have something unique from Luke, a pistol I've nicknamed the "Naked Volkmann". This pistol started out as a 1971 Colt Series 70 with all of the appropriate roll marks: ..then this guy got a hold of it: ...and it ended up naked!: naked's good right? The slide was not perfectly flat (not uncommon for guns made in this time period) which would have made it difficult to do a French border, chamfer etc. Luke and I discussed and we decided he would surface-sand the slide down on both sides and create a Colt sans roll marks. I like how it turned out, hope you do too!
