A lot of thoughts come to mind, I will just pray for the victims and family members.

Haven't heard any details except that one suspect was apprehended!

Just talked briefly to friend/leo in the area. Supposedly the shooter called to turn himself in. As a cop was responding to the scene he heard the description, saw the car and took him in to custody without incident. A weapon was found in the vehicle, didn’t say more.

Too bad the scum didn’t resist.

According to the LA Times, the shooter had started planning this 4 weeks ago. He also posted a letter online expressing his anti-semitic views and that he was planning an attack.

It's not clear from the LA Times article if he posted the letter moments before he launched his attack, or if he gave more advanced warning. I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

How does this happen in a state with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country?

Maybe because you can’t prevent evil acts through legislation?

I suspect Kamala Harris will blame the NRA for this.

She will. Or the recent mag cap ban stay, aka "freedom week." It's all bad because he had an "assault rifle." This pos has a special place in hell waiting for him.

Since it wasn’t a Mosque that was attacked I expect you’ll see the news coverage will die down fairly quickly.

Except that he used an evil black rifle.

Which of course the NRA designed to be most effective on children and church congregations.

Just sad. Nobody should be attacked in their place of worship. Wherever that may be.

It is sad. And the killer shouldn’t get 24 hour a day recognition in the “news” so that he can bask in the celebrity of his heinous act. Which is most probably why he did it; some need for attention.

So true. I may not agree with New Zealand’s knee jerk gun ban in response to the Christ Church shooting but I definitely applauded the fact that their prime minister wouldn’t name the shooter so as to deprive him of the notoriety he was seeking.

Does California still have capital punishment? I agree that it would be a shame for this guy to get live out his life in a cozy jail cell while taxpayer's pay for this care.
