Hiyo. I had bought some Colt 1960s grips from Steve at @Integrity Arms a while back. Commander I had picked up a while back. Steve invited me over versus shipping due to shrinkage the grips are known for. I spent a good 4-5 hours hanging out at his shop, did some good shooting, and learn more about 1911 gunsmithing than I can pretend to forget. Steve mentioned he might be hiring apprentices soon and his shop/house is only a two hour drive. Hmmm. Anyways. Steve was a great host. I brought a bunch of toys to test fire for the first time. Steve helped me diagnose a sight in issue with a Ruger SR45 and helped me figure out an accuracy fitment issue with my 1968 Colt Commander. He was a great host and extremely hospitable! He’s not too bad on the 1911 thing either. Here are pictures from today’s adventures at Integrity Arms. Thanks again Steve for your time and letting me shoot in your backyard!
