Built this pistol for a fellow who I consider a great friend. He got me into Winchester Model 70's and re-ignited my passion for shooting rifles. It shows what can be done to a WMG (Workin' Mans Gun) without getting too over the top and getting into full bore fancy custom pistol range. The simple touches like the arrow pattern throughout, flat topped slide, gold bead front sight, and wait a minute...NO STIPPLING ANYWHERE! I must have lost my mind! Anyways, hope you enjoy the pics as much as I KNOW he is going to enjoy shooting and owning this, the first ever 9mm WMG!

You can have it in any finish you want as long as it is matte black.

MSH blended flush with the frame and arrow pattern cut.

Front strap arrow pattern cut. (Notice that absence of stippling! See, I can build a gun without it!)

Ball cuts anyone...flush with the front of the frame dust cover.

    A blended dovetail front sight.

    Thanks for looking!

Great looking gun. Immaculate as always. Just keep in mind there are a few of us still prefer rounded MS housing!

Man, I love it when a plan comes together. Thank you Joe, that pistol is exactly what I had in mind. :thumb: It's partner in 38 Super will make it a hellava pair.

Kudos to Ahrends Grips, they do some really, really nice work as well.

But admit it, Joe; your having "stippling withdrawl" aren't ya?

    Thanks Jason,

I'm looking forward to shooting it for sure.

When is your WMG likely to hit the street?

Not real sure. Something about some place called Perry might slow it down. I think people go camping there.

Joe, after seeing so many, dare I say over the top, 1911 builds by custom pistolsmiths that are works of art, your WMG hit a home run. Not that it isn't a work of art but all the TLC went in to a serious 1911. It has got me thinking about owning one. Outstanding once again.
