farscott Well, this one did for two reasons: 1) it has a black DLC finish, and 2) the price was low for a Nighthawk.
After doing considerable research, plus a 1911 forum member who applies DLC coatings verified the fact, DLC does NOT make a black finish. The closest is a dark gray.
