Anyone watch this show? It's so much better than cops.
Never heard of it.
Times and network please?
I've watched it in the past. Some of those guys have like thousands of square miles EACH to cover
Seen it a few times when nothing else was worth watching.
Google says it is on National Geographic.
I enjoy the show. It reminds me of home since I'm away from Alaska right now.
National Geo. It was just on. I don't know exact schedule, since I only watch when I surf the tube.
It's amazing to see how small the group is, and they have such a large state to cover.
the AK state troopers are the real deal. My friends up in AK have told me too many stories of how they resolve issues. I have talked to several on my trips up there and it seems that the group does alot of training or continuing education as we call it.
It's interesting to find out that Alaska is the 2nd state with the highest guns ownership per capita. :thumb:
Yea I like it a lot. I wouldn't want to be a trooper, but can't wait to become a cop. It's been my dream since I was a kid.
Yeah, that is C-R-A-Z-Y. :der:
Makes perfect sense when you think about it. What's the first state?
KY, at Limbkiller's house.
No clue, really. Gonna look it up though.
retired Trooper after 26 years - so tell me why you wouldn't want to be a Trooper?
I don't have any desire to live in Alaska, nor would I want to cover THAT much by myself with no backup in sight. I also don't want to become a trooper in Ohio because they're all a*holes. I want to work a local, smaller department, or possibly as a Sheriff. I have nothing against troopers, I just don't think it's for me.
Thanks for your service!
AK State Troopers is my new favorite show. Watched a few this weekend
I retired out of MA - in NC now ... Hope you find what your looking for.
Actually I would love to live in NC (or SC), as would my girlfriend, but I want to stay close to my family, and everyone is here. Enjoy your well deserved retirement!
SC has better gun laws.
