Keep them coming men! My gun fund is building and I plan to order around April. Leaning heavily towards a CC but the Prodigy and PE are also in contention. Whatever it is will be a 9 primarily for recreational purposes. The addiction is strong, and I am not.

Picked this up today from my FFL. Prime Elite in 45. Came in yesterday.

George at Gunslinger called me today about my other Prime Elite in 38 Super. 1st time it was done a couple weeks ago. He called and said Nick by mistake installed an ambi safety instead of the single sided like I ordered. Nick said he wouldn't charge me if I wanted it. I said no. So the single safety had to go out to be hard chromed. Well, it came back today. George was going over it with Nick and then he noticed it didn't have the magwell installed. Lol. So, now the magwell has to go out to be hard chromed. I guess in a couple weeks or so it will be done. Heck, I've waited this long so it aint no big deal.

I’m sure it will be worth the wait, and it’s not like Old Cuz is defenseless

I ordered yesterday and my estimated ship date is 1-1-22. Tough call, several models were tugging at me. Ended up picking the Classic Carry. 22 will be a good year!

My class on finishing and engraving is having “The Debate” about which is better: bluing or spray-on finishes. There are quite a few aspiring gunsmiths who believe the wonder sprays are the wave of the future, but there’s a surprising number of old farts like me who are more into blues steel and walnut. There is hope for the future! DLC is probably my second favorite.

I believe DLC is not susceptible to the milk cloud staining that Nitride is so that has merit. I have seen some awesome Cerakote jobs too, and it is easily refreshed

#770, ordered in February, picked up from my FFL today. Got impatient and bought #124 a few months back. The 1” hard fit gun isn’t nearly as tight as what I expected, racks easy like most of my other 1911s but requires a wrench to turn the bushing on disassembly.
