Here's a few more of mine after its first range trip. I've ordered some high polished Gaboons with flame maple diamond insets from Wood Caliber, and looking forward to seeing how they look on the gun in place of the stock walnuts, which look much more like ironwood to me.

Not happy with the VZ slim 320 carbon fibers I had to put on it (new slim cocobolos snapped at bottom), pistol came in last week with full sized checkered cocobolos which actually looked pretty nice.

I just put new shoes on my Prime Elite. The pics just don't do this crosscut mammoth justice -- it looks like a deep, bright hippy tie-dye to the eye.

Yes, he kind of beat me to it, lol. These are Gunner, just got them in a few days ago. I've also bought from Boone Trading. All the good SK sets are immediately snatched up by a relatively small number of guys who apparently sit on their computers 24/7 refreshing the page every half minute while, I dunno ... munching popcorn? 😁

I haven't fired this one yet, but I've had three pairs of grips on it ... 🤣 These just came in from Bob at Cherokee Hills today. Slim ironwoods. First pic is kind of dim, so I shined a bright light on it for the second two to show the wood better (makes the gun look funky in the small parts, lol).

Nice. I think full hard chrome might need a little break in time to smooth out sometimes.

Wow, not usually a fan of hard chrome (aesthetically) but that hard chrome with the black trigger, hammer and barrel... might have to order one of those!! (please do a full review video, so i can get a closer look!)

It's an NHC, but you get the idea. I agree, I prefer small parts contrast against hard chrome, too -- makes it pop.

When a $600 dollar optic comes with more than a 2 year warranty I’ll consider them again. For now, my 58 year old peeper’s don’t need them. I’m more interested in the pro, 3.0 concept and how it would compare to the current Quantico. I’d hate to order a Quantico ( very high on my wish list) and then have something more desirable be introduced shortly thereafter.

My peepers are the same age as yours, and if it's a gummint 1911, I needs an RDS. I'm still ok with commanders.
