It would be great to have one place to browse through ACW pictures, so please post what you have. Both pre and post Cabot guns are welcome!

I ordered my Quantico .45 on 10/21/22 and my sweet cap arrived today.😎 The projected delivery
date for my quantico is 4/3/23 - I have spent many hours drooling my way through this thread.
I'm looking forward to becoming a member of this Fine ACW Club. Come on April...

grats!!! Waiting is the hardest part. What options did you select?
Thanks. I'm staying with Rob's vision of it, as shown on the ACW website, it's exactly what I like.
All Black, Flat Trigger, and Tritium Front Sight. I love the no nonsense tactical badass looks.

Order your grips, and holsterS now, that way they will all be in hand when ACW arrives.
Thanks, but I'll keep the grips stock, and it's higly doubtful my Quantico will ever see the inside of a holster. I'm a total head-case about about keeping my best pistols in as perfect condition as possible. It will become my most expensive collectible and range toy.

I have decided......this is my next 1911.

Placing the order this afternoon just as soon as I decide on the front sight.

I'm not going with optics cut.

Come to think of it, I think it’s Nick’s vision of it. Or maybe that was the Nero? I know Nick was heavily influential in one or both of those. Millennial guy!!!
@Cabot_ACW_Sales_Guy confirm?
I was thinking that the Quantico was Rob's baby, but maybe not. Does anyone know who the brainchild was (is) behind it's creation? Regardless, I think the Quantico looks 100% Bad Ass in photos, but I most likely wont see one (or any ACW) in person until mine shows up, so that does cause me to have a bit of apprehension...

Got here a day early. First pics. I’ll be changing grip panels and cleaning it up when I get back in town.

Congrats. The ACW website shows hex head grip screws on the Quantico, not slotted like yours.
I prefer hex head, is that something I need to request? I ordered mine on 10/21

* Never mind, I will contact ACW about it.

Nice. I bet that will be a sweet shooter. I should change my Quantico order to a 9mm.

Well then I just ordered its twin from the wichita gun club and their next unspoken for hi cap.
It appears that ordering directly from ACW isn't the best way to go.
Their dealers probably get priority.
I think the dealers order intermittently so they always have guns near completion. Some builders will modify the exact specs for the dealers end customer before buildout. I’ve never gone through a dealer yet but you definitely save wait time if they already have what you want in the builders queue. @TheWichitaGunClub was great to work with last month, picked up a Staccato from them. I will buy from Jess again.
I need to visit their shop, It's only about a 95 mile drive.

Personally, the anticipatory wait is all part of the fun!
Ha, I'm having a lot of doubts about it now, it's going to be difficult to send off the $3,000 balance.
I would cancel the order if I could get my deposit back.
I questioned the same thing too as time was drawing near. Mainly because I’ve never spent that much on hardly anything. However, I can tell you 100% I think it’s worth it. I don’t have much experience with 1911s to go off of, but I will say mine is the best looking gun I’ve ever seen in person. Of course I may be biased, but I’ve held a few Wilson’s and Nighthawks and they didn’t compare to the ACW. If you don’t mind me asking, what did you order?
A Quantico in .45 ACP. It would be nice if I could sell my "Slot" to someone else.
A little buyers remorse is normal for some people, but really, buy once cry once. You're gonna be pretty happy, and in a year when you're friends are all asking to shoot your gun because it's so nice you'll have forgotten about the price. That, plus if you're not happy with it, you can always get most if not all your $ back by re-selling here, but you will be. ACW's really do shine once you have one in your hand.
Not buyers remorse, just big doubts that it will actualyl be worth the wait and the coin. I have a
Dan Wesson Specialist that is superb, so I doubt the Quantico will be worth $2,000 more than it.
I also have a Wilson Combat eXperior DS that I think is nice, but not worth the $3,100 price tag.
The only Custom/Semi Customs I haven't been disappointed are my Langdon Beretta 92G
Elite LTT Centurion and my Staccato P.
I’ve held a few Specialists, but never shot one. But to me, I’d definitely say the ACW blows the Specialist away by just the way it feels in hand and the finish. Did you get the ACW in DLC or blued?
Unfortunately Blued. I prefer DLC, but an extra $500 for it is just ridiculous IMO.
For what it's worth, I also have a Specialist (which is a great gun), and though I don't have a Quantico, my Prime Elite is every bit twice the gun and then some as the DW. I am a fanboi though, I have 5 of them. Kinda thinking about your "spot" for the Quanitico to fill the final gap, how far out are you?
1911s are simple and there's only so much you can do to them, what exactly makes an ACW "twice the gun"as a DW Specialist?
Supposedly the Quantico will be finished in under 95 to 100 days.
Thanks, but none of those are my cup of tea.
Everything ain't for everybody, I get it. But like another addict said, you can always sell it here and get most if not all of your money back. In about 100 days I'll start keeping my eye on the classifieds 😆
I'm leaning towards canceling and taking the loss, rather than mess around with taking delivery
of it and then trying to sell or trade it.

for consideration of those having buyers remorse...why not sell your down payment and let another have your place in line? might require and escrow but an option
I doubt the Companies/Builders would ever allow this, just imagine their paperwork headaches. The biggest thing I've learned from this deal is that I will never again purchase anything that requires a non-refundable deposit. Period. I will also never order anything sight unseen again. Period.

Take note of that gut feeling. Besides, you already have the best shooting .45. ;)
You're referring to my HK Mark 23 I assume? ;)

You know, you're absolutely right. I already own the Baddest .45 ACP Pistol on the Planet.
Nothing else matches the Accuracy, Durability, and Reliability of the Mighty HK Mark 23
Weather permitting, I'm going to take the Smooth Beast to the range tomorrow. 🇩🇪
