It would be great to have one place to browse through ACW pictures, so please post what you have. Both pre and post Cabot guns are welcome!

My small collection of customized LB Concept 8, customized S&W PC lightweight round-tail, plus Anomaly. All commanders.

Take this for what it's worth...Steve himself will tell you that he's not the gunsmith I am. I consider Steve above Greg Derr in the area he covers. Greg does a different thing. Chuck is in a class by himself.

You can't compare guys that modify existing guns to guys that MANUFACTURE guns and have all the equipment to do so. It's just not the same thing.

Now...someone send me your base Colt and see what I do with it, then we'll talk.

Good list, but of course I'm sure there would be a lot of people who disagreed with it. I do appreciate that they evaluate guns that they want to, without being pressured not to review guns just because they are expensive. I get tired of people griping about that very thing in letters to the editor in some of my favorite gun magazines. If you don't know about the absolute best guns available, how will you know what to aspire to? I've been reading about guns I couldn't afford since I was a snot nosed, wet behind the years, knee high to a grasshopper rug rat! Because of that, I have learned what quality truly is, and own or have owned guns that I could only dream about when I was young. One thing I would say about the video: The narrator considers Alchemy/Cabot to be the very pinnacle of 1911's built today. What's he gonna do when he finds out about @pistolwretch , or @Integrity Arms , or @Greg Derr ? His freaking head may explode, or his bank account will implode... LoL, then he'll learn the definition of a true 1911 Addict!!

I do appreciate the fact that he (and I guess his son?) do appreciate the genius of JMB's timeless masterpiece. They do devote a lot of time the 1911, and have a great deal of videos featuring our drug of choice. He is learning though, and maybe we can help him along in his journey towards enlightenment. After all, recruiting new addicts only adds to the family, and we do love helping other people spend their money .-)

Does this mean I can send that Colt Commander in 9MM to you? I mean just to see what you can do with it.. I still kick myself in the a** for selling the Wiley Clapp you did for me.

Absolutely, two different animals. I used to think (many years ago!) that Kimber was the pinnacle of production pistols, and then I got to shoot a Nighthawk. It's like going from an Escort GT to a Ford GT- Yeah, they're both cars and they both say "GT" on 'em, but man...

Anybody have a pic/pics of a Quantico single stack with ball cuts on the slide? I’m getting ready to order one and would like to see the option. Thanks.

I found it. Very nice pistol. Wish I could have one like it. I did buy 2 Wiley Clapp government pistols hoping to get one built one day. Good thing about being an Addict is that the addiction can go in several different directions.

The ACW herd has been updated.... I think it is set in stone with ONE possible exception. I really wish my Brimestone. aka: CCO was a subcaliber. I may consider a trade discussion of 9mm/.38 sup. for my .45 ACP.

Is the center commander now the classic carry? I know the brimstone was a commander slide with office frame but that middle gun looks to have the full size frame. Gorgeous grips on that btw!
