I was training at the range today and a good old boy asked to share the bay. I invited him in.

Shortly thereafter he offered to let me put some rounds through a new, full-sized 9mm STI.

Holy sh!t! I put 5 rounds into one pile at 10 yards on the first try. Not sure what model it was, but it was a double stack and the barrel was much, much heavier (thicker) than a standard 1911. The pistol was also much lighter than a full-sized Wilson 1911 in 9mm.

Very impressed with it. I think my next shooter will be an STI.

Just picked up a STI Off Duty. Can't wait to put a few rounds through it.

I’ll tell you this. I’m a STI collector and I have quite a few guns. They are great shooters, very well built, accurate, light guns and recoil very little compared to an all steel framed 1911 or double stack 1911.
