Any love for the WC - ACP?

I just picked Un a Wilson Combat ACP. It is a surprisingly nice firearm for a “Lower end” Wilson. It caught my eye due to the optic. I thought about it for a couple of days and then jumped. It is a Commander and fit and finish are somewhere close to my Experior and slightly better than my CQB. Two hundred flawless rounds of reloads, cheap WWB and Gold Dots. It’s a keeper.

That looks fantastic I like the looks of it 👍🏻 Congrats I have been thinking I might get a EDC X9 with red dot eventually.

The ACP is built to same level as any other non-Supergrade-they just have a preset parts package and less options.

EDC 9 is an awesome weapon. I have the Experior compact Doublestack and it is (Was) my EDC.

I have one of the compact ones. It’s actually one of my favorite shooters.

I have one and really like it. not a big fan of the stock grips so I put a set of VZs on it and added the Wilson madallions and also added a gold bead front sight.

The ACP seems to be a sleeper in the Wilson line.

It really is - it is like the GRP or Trooper series from NH . The only thing being the treatment on the front strap and mainspring housing. I like it but some may not one of those things you might want to handle before purchase .
The only criticisms I’ve seen about the ACP from the “purists” is the eagle claw pattern. They claim it to be ugly.

I personally think it’s a sweet looking gun at a great price. Only reason I haven’t bought one is because of the lack of options for now. But I have a feeling one day Wilson will start allowing to be customized. If so, I’ll pick one up in 9mm.

Yea they were pretty rigid when I had my commander built last year - they wouldnt even let me change the thumb safety size or flush cut the slide stop but I did confirm they will do a two tone 🤩
I found mine used for just under 2k I could not pass it up. I did not like the grips but I don't mind the front strap. I'm not a fan of fiber optic sights so gold bead and new grips was the answer for me. I think the 1st owner must not have liked the eagle claw and sold it as it did not look used at all. I had a LB premier II. The gun was very tight and hard for me due to bad arthritis in my hands. The ACP is much easier to break down and rack. I was able to sell the LB for $1700 and buy the ACP for $1900. I would prefer 25 LPI front strap but for the price I'm very happy.

I would like to see them offer a magwell with the eagle claw texture. I would order a stainless commander the day they announced it I think.

Nice pick up OP. I know a few people pointed it out. But it’s not actually a “lower end Wilson” it’s priced lower because they offer less variability with their features. They’re the same quality and manufacturing process as their other 1911s. They do a similar line with their ARs I think they call them ppe or something like that. You just get a standard configuration

The only thing that bothers me about all Wilsons is that damn tiny thumb safety ! I mean WTH I take a medium glove and it is tiny for me . Nighthawks safety is perfect I only wish Wilsons came standard with one the size of NH
Just my preference they seem to do everything else right in my book .
