I have the Ultra Compact in 9mm. Stock night sights and shoots very well. A little heavier than my 9mm Defender but a great option. All Sigs are pricy IMO.

Yea so far SIG is the only 1911 I own and I love it. Saw this one and thought ohhh carry piece for warm weather. Plus I want every 1911 flavor I can get. Plus we have only so many guns on the approved list here in Massachusetts.

I think the c3 was a 4.25 commander length barrel I could be wrong. The one I am looking at is an 3.25 length officer length barrel. I would rather have the C3 but it is not on the approved list here in Marx-a-chusetts.

Jeff: sorry for the delay - it could be the same size: Commander length barrel w/an Officer's size grip...but it is not a C3 (which are very nice guns, btw).

I looked up the specs on SIG's site.
The C3 is as you said 4.25 barrel with an officers grip length.

And like I thought the Ultra Compact is a completely officers size gun with a 3.25 barrel length.

The C3 is not approved here in Mass so my options are limited right now.
