Was digging through a box and came across a Swiss Army knife I believe my father had given me way back...I say believe cause he had given me some other stuff so not 100% sure...but I've had it for years...trying to get a handle on about how old it might be...as you can see, marked with the Swiss Army logo...Basic 4 tool item...blade, small and large screwdriver/can/bottle opener and an awl. The red is metal, not the hard red plastic typically seen on the SWK of today...

Any insight or references you can point me to would be appreciated. IMG_E4940.JPG IMG_E4941.JPG

Seems like they made some variations of these in the late 80's early 90's as well. I used to have one similar to this one with the metal scales. It was silver.

I had a silver and red with the metal sides as well. Mine I’m pretty sure based on my age haha was late 80s early 90s. They both got lost playing with them outside you know working on trees and digging dirt lol.

My late uncle had a sporting goods store in that time frame and I bought one from him. Never really got into SAK too much.

Looks like a pioneer with the old cross logo or a soldier model I think they are pretty much the same other than the key ring and I think the soldier has year stamped on it .

I have a few newer ones. Good knives for the money. I keep one in my range bag. One in my hunting bag and one on my desk.
