I wholeheartedly agree and have taken most of these steps.

Question for you though @Alpina9, if you have a “nasty” washing machine in a shop or garage that won’t touch your children’s clothes, think you can get away with re-using range clothes if you wash in that one?

Additional question: think if you only do 100 rounds outdoors that the contaminants are small enough that that clothing set can be washed and still be worn in everyday use?

Bonus question: What is the ideal diet? Mediterranean?

Thanks!

I think if you shoot outdoors, you can do whatever you want with your clothing, including washing it in family machine and re-wearing it while not shooting. Very little lead gets on your clothing while shooting outside. If you pew pew at an indoor range, your clothing will be covered in it.

The ideal diet is to eat less. Eat whatever you want, but eat less. Also get on a GLP drug. They are life-saving and no longer expensive. All of you guys spend thousands of dollars per year on guns and ammo to "protect your life." You would be better served buying Ozempic to achieve the same end.

Cool, I’m glad shooting outside means I don’t have to throw away my clothing all the time 😁.

I'm honestly shocked you recommend the drugs though!

For obese patients out of options, they are a game changer and they are safe. Obesity is the number one killer in this country. These drugs have saved countless lives. When was the last time you saw a morbidly obese 85-year-old? I'll answer that question for you. You haven't.

I have to go run and pick up a Fred Sadowski gun that my man @Karl Beining found for me. I probably saved a few lives on this forum today so you ladies take up a collection to buy me an STI trigger.
People pay money for these?

Gotcha, I thought you were recommending for everyone including the non-obese.

Fact is, tons of people lack the discipline to diet, exercise, and lose weight normally. If you’re not going to do that, there really isn’t another choice to lose weight.

Great post.... I have been shooting outside for the last 15yrs at my club. I bought lead wipes about a year ago and bring them to the range. Wearing gloves when cleaning anymore but with a lit cigar and some beer or bourbon...lol.
