Armalite M153GN18?

    Looking to add an AR to my collection and, shooting USPSA production, thought I may as well make it a potential 3-gun, just in case. Any thoughts? I'm really leaning toward the M153GN18, although I know 16s are in vogue. They have a great 13" that's pinned and welded compensator to 16" but I feel that would limit my future options. Thoughts? We're looking at the $1400ish range.

    Since no one has responded (since this is a potentially loaded question); I would look elsewhere for a $1400-ish AR for USPSA.
    More likely candidates in that price range IMO; BCM, DD, LWRCI, Colt (6920) would all be preferable.
    A "run and gun" would be 16"/18" and lightweight configured.
    Max range will likely be 300 yds- if that.
    Majority of rds. are usually CQB/close range format.

    As a turn key package I think it’s great. But I’d build my own with the $1400 if you know how. Stay 16” or below. The long stages are less frequent than the run and gun stages. I used to shoot 3 gun. Heavy Metal/Heavy Optics & Tac/Tac Optics classes.
