*** Back from Garthwaite *** Remington UMC WWI Repro Custom

    These beauties were built by Turnbull for Remington and are really nice out of the box. I sent this one to Mr. Garthwaite for a full house effort. The build will feature a retro theme very similar to the Colt WWI repro that Mr. Yost built for me. Hope to see her back around February/March.

    I couldn't bring myself to mess with the one I had and ended up selling it. I'll be looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.

    UMC arrived today.

    Build details:

    Kart gunsmith fit barrel, ordered with no hood markings
    Engrave last 4 of serial number on blind side of barrel
    Fit oversized blue bushing
    Flush cut, reverse crown barrel
    25 lpi checkered front strap
    25 lpi mainspring housing with lanyard loop
    Fit Ed Brown checkered mag catch
    4lb trigger job with Harrison parts
    S&A grip safety, no palm swell
    Wilson Bullet proof retro thumb safety
    2 HD extractors
    GI ejector with high wall ejection port
    Bevel Magwell
    Break all sharp edges
    Harrison retro rear
    Garthwaite gold bead front sight
    Polish flats, matte rounds, reblue
    Wolff springs
    Esmarelda double diamond French walnut grips

    Love it! I'm a fan of Garthwaite's work. I think I might have gone with a rat tail grip safety or something similar for the retro look. Kind of makes me wish I had hung on to mine and had the guts to have it cut on. Great looking piece, when do we get a range report.
