I just retrieved this from my FFL. It is beautiful. A finely-crafted piece of the armorer's art. Thank you, Rob!

I have never owned anything this well made. I have no real business with a firearm this nice, but I have one now. And I can see, in metal, many of the items and techniques discussed here: A flush-cut and crowned barrel; a properly configured and fit extractor; a tightly-fit barrel bushing; a throated barrel; a tight slide-to-frame fit, a small radius firing pin stop; extended mag release; profiled and recessed slide stop (that slips into place with nary a complaint); a small, smoothly-blended mag well. I can see how things are supposed to be done when one has the time, skill and dedication to do them right.

It will be a few days before I can go shoot it, but I have a special resting place for it, provided by another Addict. Tomorrow I will post some pics of my Addict-assisted equipment collection which begins my foray into the world of steel-framed .45 caliber 1911s.

Until then, thanks again @BP1911 for a great transaction.
