I am trying to remove the firing pin on a stainless Beretta Tomcat 3032. I know there is a retaining pin visible both top and bottom of the slide. I know this pin requires a 1/16" pin punch to drive it out. I am having to drive hard enough to bend my steel 1/16" punch.

This pin will not budge, not even 0.001". What am I missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I tried depressing the firing pin slightly, and all the way. It just won't move.

    Thanks in advance.

Probably a dumb idea but is there any way you could freeze it to shrink it down? A little liquid N2?

Humm, this might be another to drop overboard in a deep lake.

Or maybe a drop of Kriol Oil and let it sit for a day or two and a little heat.

The top of the pin is visibly much larger than the bottom. I am trying to hammer it upwards.

    My beer cooler doesn't get that cold, but I have known some wommens . . . . . . . .

The slide came off of a gun my boss bought for his wife, so any dropping to do will be done by the guy who signs my checks . . . . .

I haven't seen anything that resembles corrosion around either the top or the bottom of the pin. And again, I am bending my steel pin punches. GoogleToob hasn't been much help on this one either.

I know Brownell's sells replacement firing pins, so they gotta come out.

Maybe I should have asked, "How do y'all get the firing pin outta your Tomcat . . . . . ?"
