Getting ready for the fall weather and would like to get some experienced opinions on the best magazines for Colt Officer 45 ACP LW. I am thinking of the 6 or 7 round Wilson's with the baseplate polymer floorplate "bumpers". How about Mec-Gars or ACT? I have heard/read that while the larger mags are interchangeable that there are sometimes feeding problems(by inserting them a little too firmly). I want to carry 1 in the gun and at least one in my pocket and/or two in the mag carrier as I will have this in a shoulder rig.

I've used Tripp and CMC with no issues

The ACT mags typically work great, but you'll want to thoroughly test them in your carry piece. WC and Tripp are probably your top choices though.

I am going to make sure and replace spring in the factory mag it came with and then get 2 stainless Wilson's.

Ive never had any issues with CMC, Checkmate, Colt, or Kimber officers mags. (I believe some Kimber mags are actually made by Checkmate. )

Checkmate is what came with my Dan Wessons, they have yet to fail me.

I carry flush mount Wilson mags in the gun and the polymer pad mags for reloads.
I use full size mags at the range ( without any issues) for practice but not for carry

I’ve used Kimber KimtacPro, Wilsons, and Tripps and never had any problems.

I use Colt 45 Blue Steel and carry 2 Wilson 7 round spare mags....No problems what so ever.

I am still using Wilson compact 47D’s for my officers framed Stealth in .45 but they recently came out with an ETM magazine for the compacts and will get some of those on their next sale.

My esteemed fellow addicts and helpful colleagues....The great Vinny is sending me several brand new Colt's and a Wilson Combat with a bumper pad on it. I am going to upgrade all with pads and properly "vet" them so that I have 4-5 good choices. The gun, shot fine the other day at the range, so I am going to leave it alone at this point. Just additional mags and a good owb snap on type holster, when I don't wear a shoulder rig.
